Fairies are gardeners and guardians of nature. They encourage the true nature of every plant, leaf, flower, tree - and even your humanity! Fairy School is an introductory class designed to
grow communication & collaboration with Mother Earth.

THE mysteries & reverent WISDOM held in OUR HEART SERVEs LIKE A DOORWAY INTO DEEPER COMMUNION WITH
the elemental spirits of nature.

Fairy School serves as an invitation to deepen your connection and communication with the elemental angels of nature. Earth, Air, Fire, Water ~ the elements that weave our world into being are embodied by fairy spirits who garden, guard, and guide their expression.

Through Fairy School, we will experientially explore fairy lore, resourcing with elementals, deepening intimacy with your true nature, learning about incarnated fairies & elementals, and how to bridge this relationship between the worlds to deepen respect and embodied care for Mother Earth.

What are fairies?

Fairies and Nature Spirits, sometimes referred to as elementals or the little people, are playful & wise guardians of nature.

Fairies and Nature Spirits help encourage the expression of Nature.

There are fairies in traditions all over the world - and while this class mainly focuses on Celtic mythology & western European fairy lore, there are conversations with earth guardians & resources shared from around the world that dive deeper into ways fairies are revered throughout the planet.

Fairy School isn’t an invitation to escape your reality or even live in another world. It’s an invitation to re-member the magic and meaning that is here and now. At a time on the planet when climate change is inevitably shifting life on Earth as we know it, relating with fairies’ can assist humans to return to a reverent relationship with Mother Nature.

Fairy School Schedule

All classes and course content are posted in a private web portal for those unable to attend live, and for those wishing to return
to the classes again and again. each class is 1hr45 mins.

Class 1
Opening to the Otherworld:
Introduction to Fairies & Nature Spirits
Our first class will introduce fairies and nature spirits and explore doable ways to connect with elementals in your everyday life. You’ll be invited to experience a guided breath meditation to attune to Nature Spirits from within.

Class 2
Nourish your True Nature & Discover your Nature Nest
This class is an invitation to deepen intimacy with your body as an expression of the elements & nature. You’ll be invited through a process to discover your Nature Nest, an inner sanctuary to retreat to for replenishment and communing with the fae.

Class 3
Incarnated Fae - life purpose, opportunities,
and  challenges of souls who incarnate from the Fairy Realm
This class explores the various types of fairy energies that incarnate as humans. Longing to Belong can serve as both tender and validating for those who resonate deeply with nature.

Class 4
Bridge Between Worlds:
Bees, Plants, Animals, & the Animate Earth
Bees, Plants, and Animals are apart of the elemental realm -
they weave between the worlds of human & fae.
This class invites you through a process of noticing the messages and messengers
that show up as apart of the ecosystem you are planted in.

Class 5
Co-Creation with Fairies: Heartfelt Dreaming together
Through engaging your senses, what does it look like, feel like, sound like to co-create with fairies?
What changes might you be called to make - inwardly - and in your garden, life, and community?
This class is both a space to nourish dream seeds
and explore integrating life in communion with the fae.

Fairy School Community Garden Conversations

Fairies and Nature Spirits, sometimes referred to as “the little people,” have roots and sacred stories held in many cultures throughout the world. These heartfelt and meaningful conversations with Earth lovers and healers are designed to give voice to the diversity of stories, beliefs, and interactions with the fae around the world. These meaningful conversations were originally recorded in 2021.

  • Alika Bajo

    Alika Bajo is an indigenous Hawaiian storyteller, musician, and native plant healer living on the Big Island. In our conversation, Alika generously shares the story of the Menehune, the little people of Hawaii, and stories about the power of Pele.

  • Ifarike Ajoke

    Ifarike Ajoke is an herbalist and Afro-Indegnious natural medicine teacher. Ifarike is her family healer and offers plant therapy and healing sessions to her community at large. Her goal is to teach others the way of the humble, simple, informed, and enlightened healer.

  • Cliff Taylor

    Cliff Taylor is a writer, poet, speaker, and author of The Memory of Souls, a memoir about the healing he found through the Sundance and his work/walk with the little people. He is an enrolled member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and currently lives in Astoria, OR, where he is hard at work on a number of unpublished books that he hopes will all one day be published books.

  • Ann Nguyen

    Ann Nguyen is a Vietnamese American Women's Sexual Empowerment coach whose work centers on pleasure as a liberatory practice and fuel for personal transformation. In our Fairy School conversation we explore sexual healing with nature and the true invitation of fairytales.

  • Irene Vizcara

    Irene Vizcarra is the Founder and Medicine Woman behind Holy Wild. As a Folk Herbalist, Ceremonialist and Green Witch, she creates all formulas in ritual, leaning on her relationship with the plants, the Spirit realms, and the Earth, to create offerings that are heart-felt and transformational. In our conversation, Irene shares about the plant spirits of Mexico.

  • You’re called to create a more beautiful future that involves clear, reverent, and consensual relationship with nature.

  • You prefer experiential learning through body-based guided meditations, nature-based practices, journal prompts, and inside-out exploration.

  • You’re yearning for a like-hearted, international community garden of fairy-loving friends and appreciate the invitation to enjoy a class at your own timing and pace.

Fairy School is not the best fit for:

  • Someone who is solely interested in information on fairies. While Fairy School is informational and there will be historical contexts addressed - Fairy School is designed to be experiential, meaning there is an emphasis on guided meditations, experiences, and applied practices for directly experiencing nature spirits. If you are interested in a historical reflection on fairies, I recommend checking out Jason Lehman’s course A History of Fairies: Fairies in Cultural Context & the Anthropology of Fairy Lore course - I’ve taken it and loved!

  • Someone who isn’t interested in fairy lore, nature spirits, and deepening reverence with nature both inside and out.

  • Yes. All the classes are recorded and posted in a private web portal for you to take in your own time. The web portal will remain accessible long after the course closes (at least 1 year) - so you’re also welcome to revisit the classes & content again and again.

    Throughout the live class, there will also be an optional form to fill out in case you have questions you’d like answered in the live class or in an additional recording.

  • This is a very important question in the context of this course. As facilitator, it is my intention to serve and share in a way that encourages leaning even more into your humanity, into your life here and now, into contributing to life on Earth in this highly polarizing time on the planet.

    In the context of this question, it’s important to note the difference between spiritual bypassing and spiritual resourcing. Spiritual Bypassing is a form of disassociation and escapism - a flight, flee, freeze response in the nervous system. Bypassing reveals an inability to stay engaged in the realities of life on Earth - which can be heartbreaking, horrific, and difficult.Spiritual Bypassing in action can be incredibly harmful on the receiving end - from toxic positivity (“just look on the bright side!”) to avoidance, denial, weaponizing emotions (“anger = bad, happy = good”), and expressing a complete lack of empathy to another’s experience. Bypassing is a form of energetic numbing. It denies reality and checks out to another dimension. It is pain expressing itself in a cloak of stark, fluorescent light.

    Spiritual Resourcing is like a hydration station in the labyrinth of your life. It helps *expand* your capacity for staying present and engaged with what’s difficult. Whether that’s connecting with fairies, spending restorative time with nature, breathing, movement, prayers, meditation, and/or pausing to take a minute to check in with your body, Spiritual Resourcing helps you engage more fully with life.

    It doesn’t deny or diminish reality. Spiritual Resourcing increases your capacity to meet reality without collapsing emotionally or otherwise.These times call for increased capacity to engage with what’s difficult...how are you Resourcing? How might Spiritual Resourcing expand your capacity to engage in the lifelong work of environmental activism and beyond? Fairy School is designed to serve as a spiritual resource in the midst of these times.

  • A guided Angelic Breath Healing playlist and practice will be offered as an optional experience in some of our live classes. I will share options to engage with the breath; if you find the 2-part active breath too much, there are gentler yin options. The focus is less on what technique you may be using to breathe and more on how it feels to listen to and honor what your body needs. If you have specific concerns about this, please feel free to email me at madeline@angelicbreathhealing.com, and I can speak more specifically to a concern that may be present for you.

  • The lore of the Fae is as old as time itself, and while there are countless viewpoints on who and what the fairies are (that have shifted through different time periods and eras on Earth) - this class relates with fairies as benevolent expressions of Mother Earth. Consider the story of Findhorn - where three seekers communicated with fairies and learned how to grow and co-create a magical garden and healing sanctuary that continues to thrive decades later.

    That said - if you’re called to Fairy School yet still feel a bit wary about connecting with fairies, I want to highlight our fourth class “Bridge Between Worlds” - where we focus on physical, tangible world expressions of the elemental realm like bees, plants, and animals. You can certainly engage with Fairy School as a way of deepening your relationship with plants & animals, who are kin to the Fae.
