About Madeline

My training is rooted in the vitalist and folk traditions of Western herbalism. This foundation continues to deepen through the in-person Fundamentals of Medical Herbalism program at the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism, where intuitive, relational learning meets clinical study.

The plants entered my life like disruptively wise angels over a decade ago, during a time when I was living more in the clouds than on Earth. Through a series of synchronicities, I found myself immersed in an herbalism apprenticeship that awakened me to herbs as sentient beings and wise teachers. During those early years, I drank daily Nettle infusions for nearly five years straight, learning - slowly and somatically - how to inhabit my body with clearer boundaries and deeper presence. Through relationship with plants, the sacred revealed itself not as something distant or abstract in some otherwordly realm, but right here, in the world within and all around us.

In our fast-paced lives, what I most crave - and seek to offer through The Apothecary - is a space to slow down beneath the surface noise and listen again to the subtle song moving through plants, body, and breath. I believe this kind of listening has the power to subtly and profoundly change how we meet life.

The Apothecary is made
for those who…

  • Long to deepen their relationship with the essence and spirit of plants

  • Feel called to grow or nurture an existing home apothecary

  • Desire a slower, more devotional way of learning that honors intuition alongside knowledge

  • Are excited about a space that centers around seasonal rhythms, lunar cycles, and Earth’s wisdom

  • Are drawn to herbalism as a relationship - not just information

The Apothecary is not the
best fit if…

  • You are seeking a clinical, protocol-based herbalism training or certification

  • You want a fast-paced, information-heavy program

  • You prefer rigid structures, formulas or prescriptive remedies

  • You are primarily looking for medical advice or treatment plans

  • You are not interested in experiential, intuitive or relational approaches to plants

FAQS

  • Yes. All the classes are recorded and posted in a private web portal for you to take in your own time if unable to attend live.

  • A suggested list of herbs will be shared for those who feel called to work with the plants physically at home, though this is entirely optional. The Apothecary can also be approached as a space of energetic learning, relationship, and attunement.

You do not need access to every plant to receive its medicine. Through guided exploration, you can learn directly from the plants in ways that extend beyond having them on hand.

That said, you may find there are certain plants you feel especially drawn to. You’re always welcome to gradually build your home apothecary in a way that feels organic, intuitive, and supportive for you.

  • This space is beginner-friendly. The Apothecary introduces simple, accessible ways to work with plants at home, often starting with practices as basic as placing herbs in a jar and letting them steep. In other words, if you’ve ever made a cup of tea and feel curious to go deeper, this could be a beautiful fit.

At the same time, it’s important to name what this space is and isn’t! The Apothecary is not an herbalism school or clinical training. While foundational information will be shared, the emphasis is less on accumulating knowledge and more on cultivating relationship: learning to listen to the energetic essence of plants, attune to their rhythms, and welcome their gifts into your daily life.

If you’re seeking a formal, protocol-based herbalism program, this is likely not the right fit. If you’re longing for a relational way to begin immersing deeper with plants, the Apothecary could be a wonderful fit.

  • Yes - especially if you’re longing to return to relationship with the essence and spirit of the plants. This space is less about accumulating more information and more about deepening presence, listening, and devotion.

The Apothecary offers a way to enrich your existing practice by attuning more closely to plant intelligence, subtle medicine, and seasonal rhythm.

  • Each class will begin with a brief guided centering process to energetically enter the Apothecary. From there, we’ll move into our class theme with a series of reflective slides on herbal actions and lore, lunar wisdom, and space to attune and commune to the topic. We’ll then move into an experiential practice, where you’ll be guided through breath meditation designed to deepen your connection to the theme. We’ll close each session with space for optional sharing, reflection, and integration.

You’ll also receive suggested integration resources, including journaling prompts, recipes, and creative exercises, all of which will be posted in our private web portal for easy access and ongoing integration.

Let the plants love you.

The Apothecary is an enchanted nook between worlds -
a place where herbs greet you like angels in disguise,
where plants are capable of answering prayers,
a place where you’re able to hear your
heart and humanity.
